Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
Van Rakshak / Kshetra Rakshak / Jail Prahari: Must have passed Class 10th (High School) under the 10+2 system or equivalent.
Sahayak Jail Adhyaksh: Must possess a Graduate Degree from a recognized university.
2. Age Limit (as of 01.01.2026)
Minimum Age: 18 years (21 years for Sahayak Jail Adhyaksh).
Maximum Age (General Male): 33 years.
Maximum Age (Female/SC/ST/OBC/Govt. Employees): 38 years (includes 5-year relaxation).
3. Physical Standards
Van Rakshak & Kshetra Rakshak
Male Candidates:
Height: 163 cm.
Chest: 79 cm (Minimum 5 cm expansion required).
Female Candidates:
Height: 150 cm.
Chest: Not applicable.
Walking Test (Qualifying):
Men: 25 km in 4 hours.
Women: 14 km in 4 hours.
Relaxation: ST/SC male height is 152 cm and female height is 145 cm.
Jail Prahari
Male Candidates:
Height: 165 cm.
Chest: 83 cm (without expansion).
Female Candidates:
Height: 158 cm.
Physical Proficiency Test:
800m Run: 2 min 50 sec (Male) | 4 min 00 sec (Female).
Shot Put: 20 ft with 7.260 kg ball (Male) | 16 ft with 4 kg ball (Female).
Sahayak Jail Adhyaksh (Assistant Jail Superintendent)
Male Candidates:
Height: 168 cm.
Chest: 84 cm (Minimum 89 cm after expansion).
Female Candidates:
Height: 155 cm.
Physical Proficiency Test:
800m Run: 2 min 40 sec (Male) | 3 min 40 sec (Female).
Long Jump: 13 ft (Male) | 10 ft (Female).
Shot Put: 19 ft with 7.260 kg ball (Male) | 15 ft with 4 kg ball (Female).
